Hi guys, we sent off for my AP for PR the first of December, first step was the approval of my husband as my sponsor, we have heard nothing yet, its been almost 2 months. What are we suppose to do, as I thought it took about 1 month to hear from them?
Thank you!

You will likely not hear anything until after SA presuming you've applied outland. I haven't checked recently but I think stage one is taking 80+ days at the moment. Since you applied at the beginning of December you've still got some waiting to do. Don't stress just join the waiting game with the rest of us.
I just checked and they are working on applications received on 22 October.....so you've a while yet.
WOW things have slowed down? Last I heard they were really going through them fast.

The processing times go up and down regularly - one of the things processing time is influenced by is application volumes. In this case the CIC web site is actually the best source for knowing what date they are working on. (The CIC web site isn't always the best source - but this is one of those instances where it is.)
Dont worry the reason you havent heard back is because of the increase in processing time; as others have mentioned its 80+ plus.
We had applied on Oct 28th and we just got SA Jan 19th
