Has anyone visited Canada and found work?

Has anyone found work while visiting Canada and then got a work permit issued. I'm directing this question mostly to U.S citizens. I want to visit my cousins in Canada but also search for work, because I've been unemployed for 1 year now.
I'm a U.s citizen living in Greece for the past 15 years, I have a Greek high school diploma.

I am Greek with a Canadian citizenship as well and left Athens a year ago. I bet you can come over as a visitor check the jobs and tell your boss to sponsor you to start the process, as a visitor you can stay here 6 months no problem
