According to an announcement from IRCC a few months ago, after September 26, Closed Work Permits for low-wage positions will only be issued for a 1-year term instead of the usual 2 years. My application was submitted before September 26, but I haven’t received the result yet, so I’m not sure if this policy will affect me.
I’d like to ask if anyone here submitted a low-wage Closed Work Permit application before September 26 and received the result after September 26 but was still issued a 2-year work permit?
Or will everyone be affected by this policy and only receive a 1-year permit as long as the result is issued after September 26?
