Hi All,
Has anyone procured Bank Letter from SBI if we want to show PPF amount as proof of fund. I have around 15 lacs in PPF out of which 5 lacs is available as withdraw-able amount, as this amount has already been matured.
If anyone has got that as proof of fund, please share your experience.
Thanks,
Niteesh Singh

Better would be to withdraw that amount in your Savings Bank account. Lesser documents, faster PR with no rejections.

That's true mate, but if I transfer that amount to my savings account then it will show up in my last 6 months statement, and hence I will have to prove the inflow of this huge amount. What do you suggest ? ... If I get a bank letter from SBI showing that it is liquid amount and withdrawable anytime, won't it be fine ?

In my opinion, it will be better to withdraw that amount and than in POF document you can explain this by showing that it is coming from your PPF. The problem with PPF is, it is not generally withdrawal so they might be a little apprehensive about that.

Its your own money and you can prove it. So, no problem. By the way, if you will file PR application after 60 days, it is justifiable that you were combining your money. Simple and Easy. I did this.
