I am wondering if written and road tests are required, for exchanging my California DL for an Ontario one?
I know their web site says that US has exchange agreement with Ontario, Then there is another statement that says it depends on the province and state.
When I moved from Toronto to California 20 years ago, California required both written and road tests. I am just wondering if Ontario is requiring the same?
I exchanged my MA license in Ontario and didn't have to do any tests. I just walked in with the paperwork and walked out with the temporary license. The card came in the mail a week later.
Thanks, but I am particularly concerned about exchanging CA (California) license. Since California does not recognize Ontario license and require Ontario DL holder to take road and written test, I wonder if Ontario reciprocate?
