Hello, I'm an international student in my last year of undergraduate studies with a valid study permit until July 2022. My passport expired last year and my S-1 TRV expired along with it. When I received a new passport, I requested to renew my TRV and when I got my passport back from Ottawa, I received a V-1 Visa with the same expiry date as my new pasport.

Now I have these questions and can't find responses to them on IRCC. I appreciate your help!

- Is this normal?
- Should I have received an S-1 visa?
- What happens if I leave and re-enter Canada? What will my status be?
- What steps do I need to take if I want to remain in Canada after finishing my studies, look for a job, and eventually apply for PR?

Thank you all for your knowledge and help!
