I am a citizen of Turkey living in the US. I have a visitor visa for Canada that expires in 2022 that I got in 2014. Last year I also got a Green Card. I am planning on flying to Canada in October, which is after the eTA leniency period.
I applied for an eTA but there's been really strange technical issues and delays. I got an email saying that they need some documents but the system isn't letting me link my application so I cannot even see what they need and my online enquiries are left unanswered. I know for a fact that I have no admissibility issues. I was just in Canada last weekend.
I wonder if I should even bother with the eTA. Can I just enter Canada with my visitor visa and not use my green card?

1. You have a green card, you require an ETA as a turkish citizen, but with the TRV in your passport, it might be iffy, since CBSA has access to the US data base and could determine you are a green card holder.
