I am canadian citizen . We have received an email from abudhabi visa office that to issue immigration visa to my husband and outer deadline is 1 July 2014. Due to my medical condition (pragnancy) I could not be able to travel. And they have given us a condition that they will not issue my husband visa until I cancel my gulf resident visa. Now we are going to email them that we can not travel at that time and we want them to extend our deadline . Also we will attach the doctors note with that. Now problem is we don't want them to put our case aside and they would extend it for a long time .....can we tell them to extend it to six months ....as in this time I will be able to deliver my baby here in dubai and make his temporary passport and also apply for his citizenship certificate. But we are afraid to offer them that particular period of time . Is that okay to actually tell them to extend our case for six months only.
Please help ....reply us please....it's urgent ???
Your situation is very unique. Unfortunately I think it's unlikely you're going to find anyone in this forum who has gone through a similar experience and can advise you what to do.
I would go ahead and contact the visa office handling your application to explain what is happening. You should definitely include a letter from your doctor stating that you cannot travel until the child is born.
Good luck.
Thanks
