Congrats to those who got their visas!! Both me and my hubby applied for a study permit and he applied for OPW on Nov 7th... i got my visa on 17th Nov! He got his Passport back for medicals.. He did his medicals on the 19th and passport reached CHC on 20th nov.. still no news.. what could this mean!
Thanks HBK...hope urs came thru.. and infact ur post did push my hopes but worried about hubby now.. any thoughts on what might happen? its been more than 10 days post his medicals...
thanks yaar... thing is am leaving on 25th... need lots to do in terms of packing and stuff and he is leaving only end of jan so... but thanks , shall wait and watch and will surely keep u informed!
The fact that he was asked for medicals means that there is a 99% chance that his visa is approved. If CHC does not like an applicant's profile, they don't ask them to go for medicals, they just simply refuse the visa before that. So, until and unless there's a medical issue with your husband, you can certainly expect a visa. Good luck for your new life awaiting you in Maple country.
You're welcome! And, do not worry, high BP certainly doesn't count as a medical reason for refusal. My BP was sky-rocketing when I had the test done, that doesn't lead to a refusal. All they care about is serious medical issues like Tuberculosis, AIDS etc.
oh yes. I understand how you feel. I cant imagine u going alone without ur husband. Me myself,my wife is currently studying in Italy while I am still in Nigeria and looking forward to going to Canada nxt year to study as well. Yet,I am already thinking of how to get things right and get her crossed to me in Canada. All the best Sister.
