Got our medical request on Monday.
To let you all know what to expect, the letter says:
To take passport and additional photos
There will be a chest X-ray of all people over age 11
There will be blood tests
After I booked the consultations, the medical centre sent a letter with additonal information:
There is a urinalysis carried out for everyone aged 5 and over
For women over 35, there is a gynacaelogical exam
They also wanted any medical reports for the last 5 years which included investigations, hospitalisations, treatments for serious illness etc
Thanks Bkuper
I am also eagerly waiting to have something of this kind in hand.......Was hoping it will be today but nope........ the postman gone without to cheer us about ..... Started waiting for one more week to come with all tension and cherished wishes......
Wish us luck!!!
I did it last month but they didn't ask for additional documents, just I did, X-ray, urine and blood test and general examination (blood pressure, heart beats per/min, weight, height, etc.) I was not asked for any gynecological exam and no other medical report.
Maybe it depends on country???? Where have you done your medical test?

hay dear i want to know how u know ur interview waived did u received a letter with medical can you share ur experience
I sent my full documents on December, and on March they mailed me the Medical request and some other papers (for proof of fund), and of course the letter saying that I have to take the medical and not to send anything else until they say me. There were mentioned that they don't invite me for an interview, but it may be required at later time (it is a letter that they send to everybody, the same).
So my medical took me about 2-3 short days and I sent. Now I am waiting when they will contact me. They got my medicals on 6th of April.
Write me if any question.

Hello!!!

My friend, I still didn't send any documentation for proof of funds, I am still waiting, they got my medicals on 6th of April, hope they will ask the rest (proof of funds, passport) very soon. But I know that we all have to take a statement from the bank where is mentioned that "on a mention day you have such sum". I read here a lot, that it is always better to show them your funds only by cash (in your account), not property.
My friend, if I get this request before you get, I will scan and w ill attach for you, don't worry. And also we have to be careful to choose a bank which will be considered, for example HSBC. Bank statements can be 1, 2, I don't think it will be a problem if your funds are in different banks and in different accounts, but if all your accounts are in the same bank in one statement you can show all your accounts. One of my friends was asked, and they show their HSBC bank account statement. Ask any question, I will be happy if I can help even with a little advice. So feel free to write me always

Please tell me also which is your visa office, and when did you send your medicals?
Ok hope to hear from you soon.
Nari
Do you have to bring medical reports for the last 5 yrs or do they contact your own doctor for them?

Hello Kellys
the letter from the medical centre where we booked the appointment said to only bring documentation if there had been anything serious in the last 5 years. However, I got my doctor to do a "letter of health" for us so that the examining doctor could have it as a reference. I was confident about it as I know that there have been no problems for us at all. Also, the examining doctor can contact our regular doctor if he desires as he will have the contact details from the letter. Doing this was a personal thing, and not actually required.
thanks
