you will get a chance to update ur information . u dont accept ITA what you do is continue with ur application there are few forms(web forms) which u have to fill like ur contact info ur personal history work history etc similar to the ones u did when u created ur profile. so dont worry. Do u have ur old passport? if yes I would recommend dont remove ur old passport just add new passport.
You can upload your passport in the same document as an old passport. If you get a place to update your passport then do that while submitting your profile. And explain in a letter of explanation about change of passport.
OR
You can submit your new passport through case specific inquiry after getting AOR and give your old passport and new passport details and attach images for both (If you plan to go via case specific inquiry, I would prefer not to mention or attach about new passport, if that's not expiring in ).
