Also just noticed that the letter says that the visas will be valid until April 2011, so they actually give us less than 1 year to stamp in.
In our case it's ok because we plan on visiting Toronto in January (middle of winter) before we make our final move.
This will give us the opportunity to get our SIN and set up a few things.
We are in Melbourne.

Just wondering why did you have to send ur medical to singapore? So far I can remember you described ur medical experience in this forum and as ur CHC is Sydney Aus, it supposed to reach there through Ottowa isn't it?

the letter we got requesting us to do our medicals indicated that they were to be sent to Singapore by the doctor.
Apparently the Chief Medical Officer is based there and the Sydney High Commission waits for them to do their review and advise if everything is ok medically.
Perhaps this Medical Officer handles all cases for the Asia-Pacific region?? I don't know.
