this site http://www.kijiji.ca/b-short-term-rental/saskatoon/c42l1700197 is very useful.
Count me in.. I am also planning to move by June 2016(hopefully- still waiting for PPR :

)..
@ tetunte- I got a confirmation that I am eligible to join the SOPA group.. but since then there has been some techinal issue with the site and is not recognizing my login ID. I am following up with them for the same..
Btw, any understanding on which city(Regina or Saskatoon) will be better for Finance (my spouse) and IT (myself)jobs please?
Planning a soft landing in August, subject to getting the CoPR by then.
Also add me. Planning to land with family in August 2016 at Saskatoon. Hope COPR will be through by that time!
Got PPR 5th February, SINP application. Planning to land in Saskatoon in summer (July/ August).
Please refer to the link below for the most important things to do after landing:

I am planning to land mid of this year. But I am very much worried about IT job condition in SK.
I heard that (not authenticate source) SK economy is going through recession and job condition is not good.
Do you people have any idea about economic and IT job condition in SK?

If you listen CBC you can get an Idea of the issues that Canadian are having nowadays, low loonie that makes
many thing more expensive than before, and the lay off in the oil sector, the winter on the other hand
has been beautiful not to many searing cold.
I think that everybody is nervous right now, it is a big decision to leave your job (if you have one) and
get embarked in this journey
One of my nightmares is spending all our saving before getting a decent job, this really scary me a lot!
You need to pay at least 1200 plus utilities for a house, (not a basement, that I heard it is not a healthy option)
500 for food, easily I think you find yourself expending 2000 cad monthly, so in my case I can live only 9 months
without a job.
anyway, get in contact sharing more positive thoughts...
Hi Guys,
I got my PPR so planing to land permanently in June/July. A quick question and a heads up.
Question:
I plan to book my travel through Europe--->Toronto------>Saskatoon (still trying to decide btw Sask or Regina)
1. If i book an Air Canada Flight from Heathrow to Saskatoon, I assume my luggage will be checked in all the way to SK, so where will I do my landing. Does SK airport have the immigration/CBSA?
2. Also, any final tips on deciding between Saskatoon & Regina???
Heads up for IT guys:
The market place in IT is going global. There are freelance communities such as upwork that allow you to make a decent income if you have the right skills. You can use this to survive while you get a permanent job.
You can also check crossover.com , they are am HR company that recruit people to work for their clients and you work from home basically. So this would also work while you get to Canada

1. The "landing" will be done at Toronto. You will have to claim your bags, go through Customs after Immigration, and there is a belt there where you send off your bags for your connecting flight.
2. It think that it will be a coin flip for either city, similar populations. It just depends what your skill sets are, and employment that you are seeking. You should research both via the jobbank etc to determine which city has more opportunities for you.
