Hi all,

I am almost done with the PR process under FSW (outland application, passport requested).

I have been pretty careful in trying to understand all the issues and I just want to make sure I am not missing something important. At the time of application, I was planning to transfer from the company I'm working with to its Canadian branch. However, situation changes and now I want to go back to school after landing in Canada.

I believe this is allowed under FSW, is this correct? Specifically, I might need to land in Canada and do nothing for months while waiting for the semester to start. Will this have any impact on my PR status that I got from FSW? (I believe there are no restrictions but I want to make sure.)

Another question: When I submitted the application (I think it's for Express Entry), I only indicated that I would want to live in BC. When I land, am I required to give only BC address? I still intend to live in BC but might need to give a friend's address to get the PR card before I move there for real, and only friends I have in Canada all live in ON.

Thank you

Hi

It doesn't matter how you become a PR. Once you are a PR, you can work or not work, study or not study, whatever you choose.

You are not required to give a BC address or live in BC.
