Global Talent Stream 2021 processing times

Hi,

My employer will apply for my work permit through the global talent stream provided they get a Positive LMIA. I have two questions:

1. Is the Global Talent Stream work permits getting processed in two weeks nowadays? I will apply from the US.
2. I have a pending PR application (FSW-O) with a Nov 2020 AOR. Will applying for a work permit affect my PR applciation?

The employer wants to wait for PR. So they did not apply for it due to uncertainty. I will start the work from remote in 2 months from a different country,

Usually not 2 weeks but can be 1-2 months which is much faster than other WPs.
