Hello people,
I got a gift deed from my mom and I opened a fresh joint account with my wife For this purpose. I want to know if this amount must sit in the account for 6 months before we can apply for PR or the 6 months wait time is not required for applicant with gift deeds.
I would suggest put gifted money in some old account where flow of cash is there (if possible).. secondly there is no such wait time required but sudden flow of money and that too a new account may raise suspicion in mind of via officer
Thanks My friend,
The reason why we opened a joint account is because the Cic website states that money must be counted in a joint account showing the principal applicant and spouse have access to this money and we don’t have an old joint account

I got the similar problem like you. I hope you have already got your PR. Can you please share the process in detail?
And I also have a question.
If I have a gift deed, does 6-month average issue disappear or should my gift deed stay in my account for that long?
For instance, if I have got no money in my bank account and I get ITA tomorrow and fill in my account with min required funds a day later and submit application 1 day afterward, is it a red flag or not? or should I wait?
