If I have an offer letter from the university and CAQ from Quebec, do I need GIC?
Someone mentioned that sufficient funds (which is about 10200 CAD) in my bank account is good for applying for VISA. Is that true?

Do I need to show funds for the entire duration of my program which is two years as well?
Or just the fee receipt of 1st Sem and funds for the 2nd Sem sufficient?
 
Getting GIC will increase your chances. I would advise you get it.
