We have express entry profile since Jan 2021. We are qualified for CEC since Oct 2021. We updated our profile last before Oct 14th 2021.
After that no updates from our end.
But, We received 4 ghost updates after it saying application/profile updated without any change from our side.
I know the reason for one of the ghost update where 5 points deducted on our birthday for age.
But after 5 days, 2 more times it showed application updated but no changes observed in points or profile.
This is very annoying since we expecting ITA and this ghost update fooling us.
Please let us know did anyone faced similar issues. Is it a positive sign?
"When we make a change": Have you made a change? If no, the GU is a glitch; it just happens, happened to me too.
"Visa officer": You're still waiting for an ITA so you haven't made an application yet, in which case your file is not picked by an officer yet.
"Batch updates": Your profile is already updated after losing age points as I understand it; so your profile is probably not subject to any updates.
Other than these, you get the occasional "fake" GU like what you've experienced. You can safely ignore those. In fact, you can safely ignore all GUs as they usually don't indicate anything useful.
