Hi,

me And my spouse have a PR Card now and we are out of Canada and we are expecting a new baby within a months, I want to ask about the process of entering Canada for the new born baby, Should I get a VISA then when reaching to Canada ask for a PR for him?? or should I ask for it before he enters Canada???

Please advise...

Hi

You can apply for a TRV but it's possible it will be refused because the child is not a genuine visitor. You could then apply for a TRP, which may or may not be approved.

You will need to sponsor the child for PR. If the TRV or TRP is approved, you can come to Canada as a family and submit the PR app. If the child's visa isn't approved, one of you will need to move back to Canada in order to sponsor the child.
