Getting sponsored from girlfriend.

Hi everyone, I am Pranav currently in India but I was in Canada for two years on study visa and got back to India when it finished. Meanwhile my studies I was in a relationship with my girlfriend. Now she is there and I am in India but before leaving we decided we will forget each other and will start a new life but it didn't work out and now we have decided to again move in together and get married. My question is that does she need to show any fund to sponsor me and how complex the process could be for that (she doesn't have much bigger income source and I am a trader).Yes she holds a Canadian passport. Please guide us.

So is she in India now and you are getting married. She can sponsor you and if not living in Canada, she needs to show that she is moving back and she cannot be on social assistance.

You cannot “move“ to Canada until you are married, apply for PR and approved. So do you have a TRV? If not, then apply for one but chances of refusal are high. So get married in another country and then she starts spousal sponsor process.

Given the increased scrutiny on previous international students I would suggest having a traditional wedding with family present.
