Hi, I was wandering what would happen if the visa office at buffalo gets my police clearance before I apply?
The reason I ask this is that I was expecting the police clearance from my country to take about 3 months in sending it to the visa office, but they just took 1 month and I haven't even applied for the CEC. I have everything ready except a medical examination. Will they file my police clearance expecting at some point my application? or since there is no application yet I'll have to re-do the process? ???
right, Pullox. You don't state what country, but with very few exceptions, you are supposed to submit the PCC with your application - it should be sent to you, not CIC.
You don't even have a file yet, so CIC has no way of knowing what the PCC is for.
Hai Jsa
Thank you so much for your mail regarding PCC from Toronto. I have applied for it today. Do you have any idea how long it will take eventhough they say 6 weeks. I am planning to go to india in end of december. Just curious as they are keeping my passport. Thanks.

The problem is that my country has a ridiculous precedure in this matter, they don't even say how long it would take for them to have the PCC ready and besides that they send it directly to Buffalo and not to me.
On the other hand, I had to write down my immigration client number, would it be possible that since I've applied first for a student visa, then a post grad work permit and then a work permit renewal they would have a file? Thank you for your time
MEXICO, why didn't you say so in the first place ? Here's the OFFICIAL instructions for Mexico - and it IS one of the exceptions, you do NOT provide it with your application, you wait until it is requested.
