The love of my life and I want to get married this fall 2018- he has been in the States for over 5 years on an expired Visa. PLEASE can he get his prints and apply for an FBI clearance so we can attach to our application. I live in Toronto and would like to get married this year so he can be here by next year this time. He doesn't want to get flagged and deported back to his home country. Any guidance is appreciated- this is not a scam marriage and I really want my King here with me----- thanks in advance
For spousal sponsorships, make sure you include a valid marriage certificate or proof of registration of your marriage with your application (see checklist details). The document(s) you submit must show that the marriage was legally registered with the government where it took place.
A record of solemnization (obtained in Canada) or marriage license will not be accepted as proof that the sponsor and applicant are married.
Check the country specific requirements to see if there are specific instructions for the country where the marriage took place.
If you are getting married in the US, check their requirement for getting married (likely state specific). You should get a marriage certificate in US after your legal wedding there. Check how long it takes for getting one in Florida.

You guys rock- I have already forwarded the info to hubby to be and he will do his prints. His Boss wife is an officiant and I think she will have to file as part of her responsibilities. He can send back to me if it takes too long. I feel so hopeful now so again thanks a bunch!
