Hello guys,
I am a Canadian PR living in Ontario and have a valid G1 since Feb.. I want to give my G2 sooner than the 8 month wait... I’m in Mumbai right now until this weekend and heard I can get something called DL extract from the RTO to speed up the G2 waiting period..
Does anyone have more info about this??
Yes, you can speed up G2 or even skip it and go directly for G if you meet the requirement. You should be able to see the requirement on drive test website.

Yeah but I’m not able to find where to apply for the DL extract on the Indian website.

Here's how to get there:
go to : https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan
click on Driving License Related Services (scroll down a little and you can see this on a blue bar in the middle of the page, to the right)
On the resulting page, choose the state, in your case Maharashtra.
You will see quite a few options on the left under Driving License heading. Click to expand - Print Licence Details
Now click on DL Extract Print Request and follow the instructions.

Worth trying for the benefits that you get out of it. It would be upto the discretion of DL office.
