getting another job while waiting for inland spousal sponsorship

hello everyone!

I need some enlightenment...I am currently on a work permit (temporary foreign worker) at the same time we have submitted our inland spousal sponsorship for over 2 months now with an open work permit application..i understand this takes more than a year before it will come out..my question is, is it legal for me to get another job on top of what i have right now without getting another LMO(labour market opinion)? I need extra money for savings and get more than what im getting in my current job.

If all goes well, you will get your open work permit 9-10 months from the time of your application. Until then, you are a regular temporary foreign worker and as such, you can only work for the employer it states on your work permit. If you get a new LMO, you can apply for a new permit for a new employer but then you must quit working for the old one. You can not have closed work permits for 2 employers.
