My daughter has just been approved for a work permit application (confirmed by CIC as a general work permit) However she applied for permit under the International Experience Canada program. She has received port of entry letter IMM 5812.
During the application process for some reason the application was called "work permit" which was attached to the IEC profile but CIC sent reply back recently (after application approved and port of entry letter was sent to us) saying if you want a work permit under IEC you have to submit a new profile. Why would she have to do this when she already has letter of entry! Can't she just take this one to the border and say it's under IEC program??

That's really confusing . I applied under FTA , I hope I don't get any surprises whether I get granted . Would be good if Scylla can shed some lights here .
Same happened to me but CIC didn't write me yet after the port of entry letter IMM 5812.
This is weird, because it's not written that we are under IEC but is obvious because the application number is the same! is there anyone who resolved this problem?
What you have written is true. What code do you have at the bottom of your letter? I read in some website that the letter has in the bottom the code IMM 5665 and not IMM 5812, that's why I'm a little bit confused. Instead the POE letter I received a Correspondence Letter, I don't know if is the same document. I wrote to CIC and hope everything is ok. If anyone else has the same problem please answer !
