General question on FSW 2014 2173 Category

Hi folks,

I have a few questions regarding FSW 2014( Permanent Residence) .I am currently in India and have applied under category 2173 and NOC 0213. New Delhi has been selected as the Immigration Office.I sent in the documents to CIC Canada via DHL on Friday Oct 10 2014 and it is expected to reach Canada by Tuesday the 14th.

Questions::
1) By when can I get an acknowledgment that the application has been received?
2) Will my application be returned if it is not processed by year end , as express entry programme kicks in on Jan 1 2015?
3) I have not done my PCC and medicals yet. Should I initiate this process now or wait till CIC acknowledgement number is received?. Infact in my case PCC from US and India will be required as I have stayed in these two countries over the last 12 months. I heard that these days US PCC take about12 weeks.Is it true?
4)I have shown funds proof of CAD 11824 .Should these funds be retained in the accts till process is complete? Does CIC check this as part of the verification process? Or do they just rely on the bank letter I sent them.

It would be great if you can share your experiences with me on the questions that I have posted here.

1) 3-4 after your application is received.
2) CIC will continue processing your application provided it's accepted.
3) Wait for CIC to request them.
4) Keep the funds in your account. Sometimes CIC will ask for additional proof later that you still have the funds.
