How can I get the GCMS notes and does requesting them affect the application at all?
I really want to know the status of my application. I applied in June 2021 and there has been no progress on my application since then. All my friends who applied after me got their applications complete and I don’t even know where it is at!!!
I called the call center and they say they do not have access to any information other than what I see on the online application tracker, which is nothing but in progress.
I read on the forum that some people contact their MP. Does that help??
Can experienced members advice on what I should do? Please advise because I am getting worried seeing everyone else see progress on their application.

1. Select, "Apply Online" > "English" > "Next"
2. Checkbox that you agree and "Continue"
3. Department = IRCC, select checkbox that you agree
4. Fill in your details (Category = "member of the public") and "Continue"
5. Select "Access to Information Act"
6. Fill in details and "Continue"
I believe after that it takes you to a payment page where you would pay $5 for the request.
Like anything else government after you submit and pay you have to wait. I requested mine July 5 and still waiting.
Haven't tried contacting MP because it hasn't been long enough for me. As far as I know this should not have any impact to your application.
