Gap in personal activity.

Greetings,

There is Gap of 6 months in my education. When I complete my higher secondary examination, for 6 months I was waiting for the results and preparing for the entrance exams for the university. How to cover this gap.

Further, there is a 2 months gap in my employment as I changed my employer and Visa processing took 2 months. How to cover this gap. Can I write I was preparing for IELTs ?
