Gap during study in canada due to change of college

I am studying in Vancouver in UBC and planning to shift to Douglas College. As per conditions, I have to apply for fall semester in advance in April and also for transfer of credits. This way there will be a gap of 4-5 months in my study. I request clarifications on the following points:

Q1. Is this okay to have such gap as an international student?
Q2. Do I have to inform any immigration authority regarding such gap
Q3. Can I work during this gap?

1. Gap is not a big issue.
2.yes you need to inform immigration when you change your school.
3.yes you can work only upto 20 hrs not full time because it is not your official drop from school.
