Why $8k? How long is their visit? Is there money in cash? You are on a WP so IRCC doesn’t need to consider your funds. So show whatever you have. Your parents need to show that they can afford their own visit.
IRCC wants to see cash in the bank? 2-3 month is a long time for a visit if they don’t have $25k in cash. It shows they are spending all their savings to come to Canada. They also want to show travel history and ties to return. If staying for 2-3 months then what are their ties to return.
