Hi,
I meet the criteria for FSWP in May and can apply without a job offer.
My employer is a charity and claim they don't need to do LMO (the only exception I can find online for charities is for work permits)
Should I avoid mentioning the job offer in my application as I have no LMO, or is my employer correct?
Thanks for any advice!
Chs
Looking at the IMM 0008 form it says "Do you have an offer of employment in Canada approved by Human Resources Development Canada?"
So I guess I answer no but include the job offer anyway, or do I answer yes as they implicitly approve it?
I tried calling CIC to ask but they don't accept calls out of country and my friend said that in-country the PR / FSWP wasn't on the options list.
You should say "no" because your job offer has not been approved by Human Resources Development Canada.
Hi
Thanks for your response. If I say no, do you think I should include the job offer letter anyway or best to just assume they will discount it?
My employer has offered an explanatory letter, job offer letter and a letter from an MP.
Do you think they will ignore all that - am I best not to include?
This has all changed on the new FSWP form - schedule 3.
The question now asks...
3a. Do you have an offer of employment in Canada
to which I can answer Yes
3b. Did your employer obtain a confirmation letter (Labour Market Opinion) from Human Resources and Skills Development Canada?
to which I can answer No
any disadvantages of my doing so?
Thanks for any guidance.
