Can I ask you how do you know that these professions are going to be filled within weeks some and within moths others? It is just an assumption based on?
Let's keep in mind that the new selection criteria came to place just 2 months ago, and we all are in the same boat, unless you had your IELTS taken already (my case), and you have your credentials evaluation process ongoing as of now, how can you determine within weeks for some professions?
Thank you and good luck

These assumptions are likely based on the number of people on this forum who applied and the fact that members of this forum who applied represent less than 5% of actual applicants.
Anyone who was serious about applying had all of their paperwork gathered and IELTS completed well before the end of May (everything except the educational credentials). Once the education credential evaluation organizations were announced, there were clearly a very large number of people who submitted their documentation immediately and many who paid rush fees. Quite a number here had their evaluations back in a week or less. And we had quite a few members here who managed to submit their applications on or a day or two after CIC started accepting applications. So getting your application in fast was completely doable.
I believe 2174 reached its cap in 5-7 days. I think there are several other NOCs that also reached their caps before the end of May.

Do you think 300 people are not ready with IELTS and paper work until NOC occupations are out? Sorry my friend so many applicants are ready with everything but depends on which occupations are hot.
How much chances for 1 week for 2131?

Crap
@ Joe07 - Why do you say its crap?
Anyone know if 1112 Investment Analysts will be on 2014 NOC? Looks like it's too late to start now...
before filing application for FSW category 1 , understanding about eligible occupation is very important and I believe that is where the catch is
for example NOC 2174 " computer programmers and interactive media developers" has many duties similar to other NOC's like NOC 2173 ( software engineer) , other few more exclusions are NOC 2172 , 2171 etc, so chances are that huge % of received applications will not qualify .
So within month or week is just a "wild wild guess" ,
listen everybody but do what U want will be the best strategy.
And yes the expected storm is coming tomorrow so be ready and prepared ..LOL
Best of Luck to everybody!!!
TO the MR , who started this you're a genius to make such statements and giving info on what not filled and what has filled, it will be a miracle if one would be able to speculate at-least on 1 NOC exactly matching with the upcoming cic's announcements.
So keep tossing the coin and assume the count - gud luck !!
hahah!! true!
