I have got the PR stamped on my passport and have planned to make a short landing in mid may 2015.
Can you please advise me the following
1. Is it officially possible that after landing at the airport in canada, I complete the formalities, provide a local address and come back to my home country ? My friend at the local address can then mail the card to me.
2. If the above is.possible then how to execute it ? I understand that some travel papers need.to be made for this. If yes, then how ?
3. What all documents I need to carry for the PR card and SIN ? I am told to carry 15k cad with me while entering Canada is it true ?
Yes you can provide canada address while landing for PR card delivery. Generally it takes around 6'weeks for PR card delivery. passport and COPR is required for landing.
Generally it is not advisable to mail PR card out of Canada. It is better someone visiting your country carry PR card in person and hand over to you
