Hi Kiran k and legalfalcon
Got ppr but have to renew my son's pp
,as it is valid till November..... New pp is in process....
What should I do.... He is a minor 4 years old..... .
Later should I send old and new passporttogether.... Or do I have any other option..Please advise
@KiranK Yes indeed it says the review of your BGC has not started yet on the automated telephone system This is almost 23 days after I submitted the reqd document (FBI at which point it said the uploaded document is being reviewed) and 40 days after AOR..
Which one is it now? Until now I though Time from AOR till meds > Time from meds till PPR. Good god please don't make us June folks wait longer after blessing us with meds pass .
@KiranK CIC just got back to me saying my file is still at CIO, Sydney. Not sure if they are doing it along with a LVO officer. Because from what I heard regarding GCMS, two officers (One canadian and one local visa office) work contemporaneously on the file till eligibility is finished at which point 95% of processing is done and simply security screening remains?
Appreciate the help @legalfalcon . Ordered GCMS so that will tell the full story..
Keny....you have answered your question .....coz it is at the CIO ....we are a bunch of people stuck at CIO Sydney and at NA2 .....awaiting for a miracle .
While screening through the last 3 pages, observed that a lot of us are in NA2 stage since 24/25/26 July.
Lets hope for the speedy progress in the week starting from 14th Aug.
Union is strength
All the best!![/QUOTE
the delay could be explained might be student applications being processed at LVO as September is the month wen colleges start in canada. .. now with rush over experience the pr rain rain
Mine when I checked last week ....the eligibility had not started at all ....I have seen cases move from NA2 to Ip2 in a matter of days....let's wait and watch.

I did my little digging into old GCMS notes and couple other places and here's my understanding so far:
CIO has power to make final decision straight away w/o any intervening from LVO. It does take a heck of a lot of time at CIO 'cuz its the old school shop which still processes paper based applications and some stupid eligibility checks for sponsorship/care givers.. Once your processing has begun and all of the requirements from your side are provided I guess CIO guys will have their NA2 changed directly to IP2 and to PPR within a couple of days unlike CPC Ottawa which issues batch wise PPR and keeps you stuck on "accepted" for three weeks now.
I stand for correction and the beloved arch matriarchs of this forum enlighten me if I'm wrong @astralsource@KiranK@legalfalcon
