Hi all,
I apologize for opening a new topic on this, but there are many different thread with conflicting information on this question. Here is my situation
a) I am applying under FSW category
b) I have 2 years of full time work experience with supporting letter
c) I have worked as a research assistant(RA) 20hrs per week in the US for 4 years during my PhD. Can I count this part time RA for gaining CRS points under the skill transferability section?
Some previous threads say that part time experience during full time studies must be discounted and some answers mention that it can be counted for the FSW category. What is the latest consensus on this? Anyone who has successfully used their RA experience before?
Any help on this will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
Great thanks! Based on previous threads it seems like I should be able to use it.
It will be nice to hear from anyone with personal experience in successfully counting RA experience for FSW CRS points. Any help will be appreciated
Cheers!

In Canada no, you may get invite as a fsw but when officer sees it’s done in Canada then that’s a straight away refusal why because at one time u can maintain only 1 status in Canada. If u came as student then u can only study nd can’t work. The RA/TA work is the part of your studies
Hi,
I am new here but this form is very helpful. I have question regarding my TA/RA work, I was enrolled as PhD students and later on converted my program to master and graduated. I was doing the TA/RA for this 5 years during my study. I have made the profile but I am not getting TA/RA points under the Canadian experience, did I made any mistake in filling the form, please help my profile filled page link as below;
What stream. You can’t count Canadian work experience during your studies, only after your graduate. And what year, 2009. That is not within the last three years.

For Canadian Experience Class. But I heard that during the studies TA/RA also counts, it is till 2013, 8 years ago. So only last three years work experience will be counted?

I have another question, in education I have my Canadian master degree but I did not submit the education assessment of my bachelor degree (which is not a Canadian degree). If I submit my bachelor degree assessment will I get more points?
