Form Validation

Hi there, IMM 5669 asking for personal details of my grand parent's info. I don't have their birth date. Despite of having other information i.e date of Date, birth place etc, should I select unknown? Form does not allow me to validate the form without entering birth date. I have already provided some information in form 5406.
