My ex-husband is applying to immigrate to Canada alone. However, he says that for my child to have the possibility to consider migrating to Canada in the future I have to complete the form IMM5604E which he needs to complete his application. However when I read the form is like I am authorizing my child to immigrate now to Canada (to which I do not agree since I have full custody and I expect my daughter to live with me until she is of legal age). Please let me know on the risks I am assuming by signing this form. Thanks

There is no need for you to sign that form.
Your ex needs to submit his application with the child included as non-accompanying and IMM5604 is not required for that. The child will need to undergo a medical and your ex will need to include any necessary documents, like the child's birth certificate. This will allow him to sponsor the child in future if necessary.
