Form Application to Sponsor, sponsorship agreement and undertaking (IMM1344)

Hey i'm really hoping someone can help us. My Canadian partner and I are currently had our "Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class" returned due to being incomplete, their one issue with our application was the form "Application to Sponsor, sponsorship agreement and undertaking (IMM1344)" weve read and reread the form we cant find a fault though now we think I (being the sponsored person and common law partner of the Canadian Sponsor) signed the wrong line on the form. He signed the line titled "sponsors signature" and I signed "Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class" but we are thinking weve made the most minnor and expensive mistake ever and i was supposed to sign the line bellow titled "Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class". Is that right? of all things have i just signed the wrong line, can someone please explain this to us :'(

We sent it CIC we sent it end of Feb this year and recieved our first email on March 19 requesting the folowing items with were incomplete (being just that one form) without addvice as to what was missing on the form, we thought the problem may have been i had signed the un validated version of the form, so we immediatly sent it back signed and dated on a validated form and well within the 40 day limit, they have now sent the entire application back to us as in-complete and we now unfortunatly have to reapply and repay our fees

Unfortunate situation. Your first message is not clear in terms of what you signed.

Basically, the person sponsoring signs the first line and the person being sponsored signs the third line. The second signature line is only applicable if there is a co-signer on the application and it doesn't seem to be your case.

Of course, any time you've edited the document, you would've had to validate the changes before printing.

Can you state what CIC wrote in the letter/email to you when they first asked you to re-submit the form?

Oh sorry just reread my first meassage my copy and pasting stuffed up, yes i ment i signed next to "signature of the cpouse/commonlaw partner (if co-signer) and i was thinking i shld have signed next to the third line of "signature of the sponsorser person" is starting to seem so ovious now but when you read and reread these forms so many times i think your brain just turns to mush!

this is part of what they said in our first email:

Your application is incomplete; you will find details of the item(s) that are missing from this application below:

• You must provide a current and completed Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM1344) bearing signatures. This form is available at ww.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp.



We are not 100% sure which line i did sign but the second version was definatly validated and filled in correctly we will have to wait and see when it is returned to us, thankyou so much for your thoughts and advice
