Forgot to mention my F1 rejection in my Canadian study permit

Hello,

I applied for F1 visa back in 2016 and got rejected.i applied for Canadian study permit and in the form I forgot to mention my USA visa rejection. I thought it was only for Canada refusals and I stated my Canadian refusal details and attached refusal letters. Will it be a problem. If yes what should I do to overcome it.

I don't think you have to mention you got refused an F1 or US student visa. If you got rejected of a Canadian student visa then you should mention that. Canadian immigration and US immigration are not connected to each other.

I totally forgot about it. I mentioned about my Canadian refusals but USA was not at all in my mind.

It is very very serious. you can be banned for 5 years from even applying. A refusal is the least of your concerns.

You need to contact CIC and immediately inform them.

You can not only get refused, but you can be banned for 5 years under misrepresentation. You have to contact CIC asap.
