I am going to land as a permanent resident in August 2018. For proof of funds, I am thinking of carrying a forex card along with a stamped bank statement showing the amount of funds in CAD in my forex card. Since other means of money transfer (SWIFT transfer across banks and others) charge me around $250-$300 for a transfer of $12300, I am more inclined to use forex card due to its very low conversion rates.
I just want to confirm whether a bank statement for a forex card would be accepted as valid Proof of Funds by CBSA.
Has anyone used this route for PoF when landing as PR?
