Foreign Work Experience while in Canada

Hey folks,

I have a fulltime, skilled job that I am working in Canada, and I just received a part-time job offer for a remote position back home.

I was wondering if I do that job enough can I use that as Foreign Work Experience or would it not count? I would essentially be working 35-40 hours a week at my regular job, and 15 hours a week at the part-time one back home.

Well it depends.......at 15hrs per week its going to take you 2yrs to declare 1yr of foreign work experience. So it doesn't make a lot of sense to depend on the remote work to contribute to your points calculation. Professionally, it can build your resume and even help you get a better job here in Canada but unless you have a 2yr plan probably should start thinking about something else for points.
