hello,

I am working with temporary work permit in Toronto. I have a driving licence which is not convertable to Canadian driving license.

I would like to know how to get G driving license. my understanding is that I will need to sit for G1 exam first.

-do I need to get a written letter from embassy to sit for G1 exam? this is to explain that I have an existing license from another country.
-i find it confusing whether appointment is required to take g1 test. is it walk in or appointment is required?
- it says it requires eye test. where can I get eye test done , is this done at the driving test center right before walking into the test?
- lastly, apart from service Ontario, can I take the g1 test from Any drive test center?

thanks a lot for your time.
