Foreign divorce recognized in canada

I am a canadian citizen and was married in pakistan and filed for khula from my husband who lives in Pakistan. The divorce is finalized and i have my khula decree. To have a foreign dovorce recognized in canada i need to prove my husband or i have lived in Pakistan for atleast one year before j filed for the divorce. I was in Canada and appointed a power of attorney to carry out my divorce but my husband was in Pakistan for that time period. How do i prove this?
How do i prove my husband was in the country for that one year period?
we are not on talking terms anymore so i cannot very well ask him to give me a copy his passport.
