Hi all,

For anyone who recently landed in Canada, I have a query with regards to Indian Immigration.

At the Indian Immigration counters at the airport, do we have to show any other documents besides our passport, ticket and Canadian visa/COPR when leaving the country for Canada?

What about with airlines.... do we have to show same documents as above when booking a one way ticket and is there a different weight allowance given for migration reasons?

Many thanks

I landed in 2013, and I was asked all these documents at multiple places in India (Bangalore International Airport).
Immigration counter asked me my PR Card, COPR in addition to passport etc
While boarding the place, the lady asked me the same documents.

Advice : Keep all the Immigration documents handy while going through the process.
You never know what they will ask when.

Your passport, boarding pass and COPR. Emigration as well as Airline desk would ask for these 3.
Weight allowance has nothing to do with emigration. Most of the airlines operating from India to North America allow 2 checkin bags of 23Kgs each and a cabin bag upto 8Kgs.

Thank you Sharat and Alok, appreciate the heads up! :)
