Hello!
I'm applying as an accountant, though my education is completely unrelated (I have a WES evaluated MA in Linguistics).
My only one year's work experience as that of an accounant, so I'm applying as such. No credentials whatsoever. Only confirmation letters from my job and my pay stubs.
It's a "widely believed fact" that education and experience don't have to match as far as CIC is concerned We'll see how my case turns out.
You mean, this discrepancy could be a problem with provincial nominations? I never even considered those - lost cause.
I wonder if there were any NOC 1111 applicants from non- IFRS non-GAAP countries who succeeded in getting a PN.

As far as I know, it wouldn't matter even for PNP applicants with the same case as yours.
Off topic but I would like to share for future applicants:
For public practitioners, without an "accounting" education, they can't have a CPA title to most countries. So when applying for a PNP, for instance, SINP, they need to have their credentials assessed by an accounting body based in Saskatchewan. So the rule of accounting education and work experience applies here.
Unless, you have an accounting experience who has been employed by a private company, then it wouldn't matter if your an accounting or non-accounting graduate.

I have CMA designation from Pakistan but NOC 1111 & 1112 are regulated in Canada than how i can apply under these NOCs without authentication by CPA Canada.
