I received a letter from Buffalo that my file has been sent to Los Angeles Consulate to expedite processing since May 10, 2009. Have not heard from them since them. Anyone in same situation, please share your experience.
Re: FILE TRANSFERED FROM BUFFALO TO LOS ANGELES CONSULATE
Can you elaborate further? When did you submit complete application to Buffalo? Did Buffalo send you AOR and are you under the fast track application? If you don't mind are you from West Coast ( Los Angeles). Thank you and goodluck.
Re: FILE TRANSFERED FROM BUFFALO TO LOS ANGELES CONSULATE
Hi,
You are supposed to wait at least 90 days... so I suggest you to just wait for their letter. If nothing happens AFTER the 90 days period, you should write an email.
Re: FILE TRANSFERED FROM BUFFALO TO LOS ANGELES CONSULATE
Yeah there is a 90 days wait period when a file is transfered to the LA consulate I'm a provincial nominee of Alberta and my file was transfered to the LA consulate as well. since april 29th.
Re: FILE TRANSFERED FROM BUFFALO TO LOS ANGELES CONSULATE
Is there any one who applied in July 2008 with application sent to LA without response from the consulate...Just read somewhere in the blog that they are sending medical requests to those who applied in Sept 2008. Is that true?
Re: FSW FILE TRANSFERED FROM BUFFALO TO LOS ANGELES CONSULATE
Hello OVIAWE..mi file was transfered to LA on May 29. I applied on September 2008. Still no news from them and it seems that LA takes longer than other offices to request for medicals and additional information. My application status is the same. Application received on September 2008. According to trackitt, Detroit and New York are requesting medicals two or three weeks after files have been transfered. It seems that our processing time is going to be longer, so we must wait to hear from them.
Re: FSW FILE TRANSFERED FROM BUFFALO TO LOS ANGELES CONSULATE
Hi Susan'
We are on the boat! My application file for PR was transferred from Buffalo to LA on May 29 and since then, I have not received any correspondence from the LA office. I submitted my initial application September 12, 2008. As you rightly pointed out, most people whose files were transferred to other visa offices at the same time or even later, have since received their medical requests.
I do not know what is delaying the processing at the LA office and I hope they respond to us shortly. I am losing patience. Meanwhile, I would like to know if application can be refused even after file transfer.
