For EE, do I need the letter from the bank or statements just enough?

The bank said they can't provide the average balance for last 6 months...but just the end balance...I think I need to attach all my six month statements..

What I did was printing out my transaction histories (a lot) and let the bank put bank stamps on them.
So get a statement + last 6 months transaction histories with bank stamps.

So the requested bank statements will be different with the one I downloaded from online banking in terms of stamps?

I don't have local branch nearby...
