I'm starting this thread to make a community of "Money-saving new immigrants". After immigration, I realized that life isn't as easy here as it seemed back home. You have to work day in and day out to make a living. But what I found out is that you can save a great deal of money if you are smart and know how to save money. So, I urge all of my immigrant friends and other friends coming to Canada to keep this thread alive by sharing and money-saving ideas and daily deals they come across. Smart shopping and a bit of effort on our end can save us extra bucks to enjoy family-time over the weekend

Here's another deal that I just found out from Shopper Drug Mart.
They are giving away 2 Free Cineplex Odeon Movie Tickets with a purchase of $75 or more.
http://dailycanadianfreebies.blogspot.com/2012/01/freebie-2-free-cineplex-odeon-movie.html
There is FREE Photo Shoot and Multi-Image Print at Sears Portrait Studios
http://dailycanadianfreebies.blogspot.com/2012/01/coupon-free-photo-shoot-and-multi-image.html
Get a FREE new coupon from BrandSaver to receive $4.00 OFF your purchase of any 3 brands : Charmin, Bounty, Puffs, Mr Clean and Tide. Go to http://dailycanadianfreebies.blogspot.com/ for details.
For most of those "deals" u'd be either shopping in all wrong outlets, or purchasing unnecessaries, or buying subpar products.
Besides, if u seriously observe half of those tips - u'd be spending ur time in Canada miserably... Have a heart instead... live well... buy@Walmart* usually... visit Honest Ed's once in a while [if u r in Toronto]... and u'd survive!
Qorax *Avoid Sears, Zellers, Shopper's Drug Mart/s, The Bay & the likes. -for newcomers
