I am moving to Toronto, early next month. It would be great to have suggestions and comments for last time preparation. Kindly join this thread for share ideas.
To all, if you can't survive cold (say -15 deg cent) snow every where, chilling wind etc. and with small kids then ideal time to land is April/May provided your visa could allow you. Pl track weather details esp historical data for last year from Jan - Apr and decide as your worst enemy in Canada could be bad weather.
I personally feel that searching for a new job or exploring a new country in freezing cold is bit difficult as you will end up staying at home mostly and waiting for good weather to come but it depends upon person to person.
I landed in July and it was fantastic even the day time was more than night time, so it was good to enjoy and look for opportunities! But this is my personal opinion and it might not work for others, in some cases!
I am going to Toronto in April. In April too the temperatures will be cold about 0-3 degrees at night and no more then 6-7 in the day hence even that time you will need warm cloths.
Also given the fact that the Summers actually are in June, July and August . May will be some rains too hence be prepared for all kinds of weather.
Feb is definitely very cold. Check accuweather.com for average temperatures for a particular month. in Feb and March you will still witness snow, April you may or may not see it depending on how good the summer is going to be. Don't foget to carry windcheaters with you as they are helpful in fighting winds.
