Hi, I just received my COPR and want to land. My initial plan was to flagpole at the nearest border crossing, but I heard that Canada is limiting times you can do that. Has anyone flagpoled recently? My nearest border crossing Prescott apparently really discourages it. They told me I had to apply for a visitor record ahead of time to visit Canada, even though I am a US citizen, so I know they are difficult.

Also another option I heard of was walking in to IRCC in Ottawa because apparently you don’t need an appointment there. But I’m also not sure if they are still doing that. I can try making an appointment but I really don’t want to wait a month. Im not sure how they will feel if I email them for an appointment but then decide to flagpole. So I’m just wondering what my best option is. Thanks.

Only a few border crossings limit flagpoling. I don't believe Prescott is one of them.
